Menu panel

The menu panel appears at the left of the E-Sales screen to provide searching facilities and single-click access to key screens of the E-Sales application.

Product Search

The product search facility makes it easier to find a product among the Barloworld Catalogs.

Quick search

To perform a quick search:

1. Click in the Product Search text box and enter a portion of a product description or part number.

2. Click on the Search button. When the search is complete, the Search Results screen will be displayed with a list of found items. If no matches were found, the Search Results screen will be displayed empty.

· Click on the underlined Back to Product Search text to access the Advanced Search facility.

· Click on the underlined Product Search Tips text to see tips on advanced searching.

Advanced search

To access the Advanced Search facility, click on the Adv Search button. This opens the Advanced Search screen.

To perform an advanced search:

3. Click in the Search text box and enter the search string

4. Click in the arrow to the right of the Search on field box and select the field to search in from the drop-down list.

5. If required, enter a Boolean operator into the string, click on the arrow to the right of the Boolean operator box, select the required Boolean operator from the drop-down list and click on the Add button. The selected expression will be inserted into the Search text string at the current cursor position.

6. Click on the Search button. When the search is complete, the Search Results screen will be displayed showing the products found.

Tip: For information on searching and the use of Boolean operators, click on the underlined Product Search Tips text to the right. This displays the Product Search Tips screen Scroll down until you find the help you need. When you have finished, click on the Back button to return to the Advanced Product Search screen.

Products

Catalogs

Catalogs opens the Catalogs screen to allow you to browse product items and add products to your basket.

Baskets

Current Basket

Current Basket opens the Basket screen to allow you to review the contents of your current basket.
